Key findings
- 32% of catalogued AI-era courses are free to take. Of 1,145 programs, 366 cost nothing to start — the idea that AI upskilling requires a big budget is not supported by the data.
- Provider supply is concentrated. Coursera leads with 284 courses, followed by Udemy (251) and Skillshare (205).
- The biggest single category is Strategy Intelligence with 204 courses — a signal of where the current wave of AI-training supply is concentrated.
- 56.8% of courses award a certificate. Credentialing is common but not universal — worth filtering for if a verifiable credential matters to you.
